Our Mission

Founded in 2024, CAA was created to address the critical need for safe and effective tree care training. Through initiatives like the Arborist Journeyman Program, we equip industry professionals with the skills and knowledge necessary to care for trees responsibly. Additionally, we offer fellowship, mental health support, and continuing education opportunities for arborists across Colorado.

CAA’s 8 Objectives for Arborists

  1. Facilitate knowledge-sharing through meetings and events that improve tree conservation and arboriculture practices.
  2. Elevate the professionalism of tree care companies.
  3. Provide access to high-quality training and education for local arborists.
  4. Support and sponsor training events.
  5. Create career pathways for aspiring arborists.
  6. Offer specialized training for both new and experienced arborists.
  7. Partner with Colorado Tree Care Sector Partnership (CTCSP) as a nonprofit agent.
  8. Provide access to mental health resources for tree care professionals.

CAA’s 4 Key Goals for the Public

  1. Increase public awareness and education about proper tree care.
  2. Improve public perception of the tree care profession.
  3. Help homeowners and businesses make informed decisions when hiring a tree care company.
  4. Clarify the different roles and specializations within arboriculture.

At CAA, we believe that collaboration, education, and open discussions lead to safer and more effective tree care practices. By working together, we can improve industry standards and ensure that Colorado’s trees receive the care they deserve.
